Short title, extent and commencement.

Statutory text
- (1) This Act may be called the 1[MaharashtraMerged Territories and Areas (Jagirs Abolition) Act.]
- (2) It extends to the merged territories and the merged areas in the 2[pre-Reorganisation State of Bombay, excluding the transferred territories.]
- (3) It shall come into force on such date3as the State Government may by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf.
