The Maharashtra Luxury-cum-Entertainment and Amusement Tax on Holders of Television Sets (Repeal) Act, 1985

(1) This Act may be called the Maharashtra Luxury-cum-Entertainment and Amusement Tax on Holders of Television Sets (Repeal) Act, 1985. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.

The Maharashtra Luxury-cum-Entertainment and Amusement Tax on Holders of Television Sets Act, 1976 (Mah. XXXIV of 1976), is hereby repealed.

Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken (including any notification, order, notice or tax assessed) under the Act so repealed shall be deemed to have been validly done or taken under the corresponding provisions of that Act, and shall continue to be in force unless and until superseded by anything done or any action taken under the relevant provisions of the Maharashtra Entertainments Duty Act, 1923 (Bom. I of 1923).
