Punishment for securing allotment of land by misrepresenting facts

Whoever, intentionally, knowingly or with corrupt motive, gets land, plot, house or flat allotted by misrepresenting any material fact in order to make himself eligible for such allotment which he would otherwise not have been so entitled in accordance with the rules or instructions made or issued by the State Government or by the authority entrusted with the function of such allotment, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three years or with fine or with both.
