Transitory Provisions

Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act:

1. (i) The Kulapati in office immediately before the appointed date shall continue in office for the term prescribed under the respective repealed enactments; Provided that such Kulapati as has attained the age of sixty-four year on or before the appointed date shall continue in office for such period as the Kuladhipati may, by order, specify but such period shall not exceed the remainder of this term under the repealed enactment.
2. (ii) Authorities, committees or bodies of the respective Universities constituted under the repealed enactment shall continue to function till such time as they are reconstituted in accordance with the provision or this Act, but such period shall not exceed one year from the date aforesaid,
3. (iii) Life members, of any such authorities, shall cease to be so on the expiration of the period specified in clause (ii) above, unless continued to be so in accordance with the provisions of this Act.
