The Maharshi Panini Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 2006

(1) This Act may be called the Maharshi Panini Sanskrit Evam Vedic Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 2006. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Madhya Pradesh. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.

In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "Academic Council" means the Academic Council of the University; (b) "Board of Studies" means the Board of Studies of the University; (c) "Chancellor" means the Chancellor of the University; (d) "Department" means a department of studies of the University; (e) "Employee" means any person appointed by the University and includes teachers and other staff of the University; (f) "Executive Council" means the Executive Council of the University; (g) "Finance Committee" means the Finance Committee of the University; (h) "Principal" means the head of a college; (i) "Statutes", "Ordinances" and "Regulations" mean respectively the Statutes, Ordinances and Regulations of the University made under this Act; (j) "Teacher" means a Professor, Reader, Lecturer and such other person as may be appointed for imparting instruction or conducting research in the University or in any college or institution maintained by or affiliated to the University and designated as Teacher by the Ordinances; (k) "University" means the Maharshi Panini Sanskrit Evam Vedic Vishwavidyalaya; (l) "Vishwavidyalaya" means the Maharshi Panini Sanskrit Evam Vedic Vishwavidyalaya established under Section 3; (m) "Vice-Chancellor" means the Vice-Chancellor of the University.
