The Madhya Pradesh Baristh Nagarik Tirtha Yatra Yojana
This scheme launched by the Odisha Tourism Department provides subsidized pilgrimage opportunities to senior citizens living in Odisha who are at least 60 years old. Eligible participants receive financial concessions based on their income and age, with full subsidies for individuals below the poverty line. Organized in collaboration with Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation, the initiative covers comprehensive tour packages including travel, accommodation, meals, medical support, and insurance to various holy destinations across India. By reducing financial and logistical barriers, the government enables low-income and elderly residents to fulfill their lifelong spiritual aspirations in a safe and supportive environment.
