Bare Act
The Madhya Pradesh Second Extension of Laws Act 1961
The Madhya Pradesh Second Extension of Laws Act, 1961 provides a unified legal framework across the entire state of Madhya Pradesh by extending regional laws to all parts of the state. Following state reorganizations, laws previously limited to specific regions like Mahakoshal or Madhya Bharat—such as regulations on noise control, prisoner probation, nursing home registration, leper care, and tree interest protection for aboriginal tribes—are standardized and extended statewide. It replaces older regional statutes, updates administrative references, and grants the state government powers to resolve transition difficulties. This harmonization ensures consistent governance and legal clarity for all residents across Madhya Pradesh.
