The Madhya Pradesh Investment Region Development and Management Act 2013
The Madhya Pradesh Investment Region Development and Management Act, 2013 provides a legal framework for establishing and managing planned investment regions across the state of Madhya Pradesh. It empowers the state government to authorize special agencies to identify project areas, formulate comprehensive development schemes, acquire land, and grant building permissions. The law applies to landowners, residents, commercial entities, and industries operating within notified investment zones, excluding defense, central government, and railway properties. By streamlining land acquisition, planning approvals, and infrastructure delivery while consolidating local municipal powers under a single specialized agency, the Act aims to accelerate industrial growth, economic development, and modern urban planning.
