The Madhya Pradesh Gram Nyayalaya (Nirsan) Adhiniyam, 2009

1. (1) This Act may be called the Madhya Pradesh Gram Nyayalaya (Nirsan) Adhiniyam, 2009.
2. (2) It shall come into force on the date of its Publication in the official Gazette.

2. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,

1. (a) "appointed day" means the date of commencement of this Act under sub-section

1. (2) of Section 1;
   • (b) "Gram Nyayalaya" means the Gram Nyayalaya established under Section 4 of the Madhya Pradesh Gram Nyayalaya Adhiniyam, 1996 (No. 26 of 1997).

1. (1) On the appointed day the Madhya Pradesh Gram Nyayalaya Adhiniyam, 1996 (No. 26 of 1997) shall stand repealed and the Gram Nyayalaya shall stand dissolved and the cases pending in the dissolved Gram Nyayalaya shall stand transferred to the District Court or the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, as the case may be, of the concerned District, who shall then transfer such cases to the Court of competent Jurisdiction.
