This Act modifies the Cattle Trespass Act, 1871 to empower the State Government of Madhya Pradesh to curb severe crop and property destruction caused by roaming livestock. When a report from a District Magistrate or local authority confirms that crops or other assets are being excessively damaged by wandering cattle, the Government may issue a notification under Section 12-B. This Section applies special provisions to control the movement of cattle in affected areas, aiming to protect agricultural interests and public safety.
