The Ladakh Official Languages Regulation, 2025

1. (1) This Regulation may be called the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Councils (Amendment) Regulation, 2025.
2. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.

In section 4 of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Councils Act, 1997, after sub-section (1), the following sub-sections shall be inserted, namely:— “(1A) Not less than one-third of the total number of seats in the Council shall be reserved for women and such seats may be allotted by rotation to different territorial constituencies. (1B) The rotation of constituencies reserved for women referred to in sub-section (1A) shall be made on the basis of serial number allotted to each constituencies by notification in the Official Gazette.”.
