Bare Act
The Suits for Possession and Injunction (Retransfer) Act, 1963
General19632 sections
This law addresses land disputes where a court had previously transferred a case to a Revenue Divisional Officer under an older law. When that older law expired in 1958, this Act required the Officer to send the case back to the original court. This ensures that cases that were already in progress are not left hanging but are instead returned to the court to continue from exactly where they were when they were first sent away, protecting the rights of the people involved in the original suit.
