Insertion of new section

After section 18 of the principal Act, the following section shall be inserted, namely:—

Chief Inspector to provide facilities on default by em ployer. "18A.

1. (1) If in any plantation, facilities are not provided or maintained by the employer as required by section 8 or section 9 or section 12 or section 15 or the rules made under section 11 or section 14 or section 17, the chief inspector may cause to be provided or maintained therein such facilities and recover the cost thereof from the defaulting employer: Provided that before providing or maintaining such facilities the employer shall be given an opportunity of being heard.
2. (2) For the purpose of the recovery of the cost under sub-section
3. (1) the chief inspector may certify the amount to be recovered to the Collector, who may thereupon recover such amount as an arrear of land revenue.".
