The Calicut University

This law provides a temporary governance mechanism for Calicut University after the official terms of its governing councils, the Senate and the Syndicate, expired. It applies to Calicut University, its affiliated government and aided colleges, and its administration. Under this legislation, the State Government of Kerala is authorized to appoint an interim committee comprising university officials, teachers, college principals, a student representative, and education experts to carry out all duties and powers of the Senate and Syndicate. This ensures that academic, financial, and administrative operations of the university continue without interruption until regular governing bodies are formally reconstituted.
