Contribution to the Fund
The Kerala Shops & Commercial Establishments Workers Welfare Fund Act, 2006(1) Every worker shall contribute to the Fund such amount per mensem as may be prescribed and the employer shall contribute to the Fund such amount per mensem as may be prescribed in respect of each such worker. (2) Every employer shall remit the aggregate of the amount of contribution of the worker and his own contribution to the Fund in such manner as may be prescribed. (3) The employer shall be entitled to recover the employer's contribution from the worker in respect of whom the contribution is made, in such manner as may be prescribed and the employer shall be liable to pay contributions to the Fund at such rates as may be fixed by the Government from time to time: Provided that no employer shall pay to the Fund an amount less than Rs. 10,000 as contribution.
