Rights continued under section 17 not to be alienated without sanction
The Kerala Forest Act, 1961(1) Notwithstanding anything herein contained, no right continued under section 17 shall be alienated by way of grant, sale, lease, mortgage or otherwise, without the sanction of the Government: Provided that, when any such right is continued for the beneficial enjoyment of any land or building, it may be sold or otherwise alienated with such land or building, without such sanction. (2) Any alienation of right in contravention of this section shall be null and void. (3) No forest produce obtained in exercise of any right continued under section 17 shall be sold or bartered, except to the extent defined by the order recorded under section 17. (4) Any person selling or bartering any forest produce in contravention of this section shall be punished with fine which may extend to two hundred rupees.
