Bare Act
The Kerala Cultural Activists' Welfare Fund Act, 2010
This Act establishes a welfare fund for cultural activists in Kerala to provide financial security and support for those engaged in artistic and cultural activities. It applies to individuals involved in diverse fields including cinema, electronic media, drama, music, literature, painting, sculpture, folklore, ritual arts, magic, circus, and various other artistic pursuits. The legislation creates a dedicated Fund and administrative Board to oversee it, which collects contributions and government grants to provide assistance to cultural practitioners, their families, and dependent relatives. By recognizing the economic needs of artists and cultural workers who sustain Kerala's arts and cultural heritage, this Act ensures these contributors receive necessary welfare measures without facing financial hardship.
