Bare Act
The Kerala Co-Operative Hospital Complex, the Academy of Mecical sciences and Allied Institutions (Taking over and Administration) Act, 2019
This Act formalizes the Government of Kerala’s takeover of the Pariyaram Medical College and its allied institutions, including the Co-operative Hospital Complex and the Academy of Medical Sciences. Previously managed by a Board of Control, these institutions and all their assets, liabilities, and operational responsibilities are now vested in the State Government. The Act establishes a mechanism for the Government to compensate the original societies after accounting for outstanding debts, loans, and government investments. It also ensures the continuity of employment for staff and mandates the ongoing operation of the T.B. Sanatorium, providing a legal framework for the transition of these public health assets.
