Short title, extent and commencement

(1) This Act may be called the Karnataka Fiscal Responsibility Act, 2002.

1. (2) It extends to the whole of Karnataka.
2. (3) It shall come into force on such 1[date] as the State Government may, by notification, appoint. 1. The 1st April 2003 to be the day on which the Act shall come into force - vide Notification No. FD 5 PMU 2003 dated 11.2.2003.
