The Jharkhand Salaries and Allowances of Ministers Amendment Act, 2005
1. Short title and commencement
(1) This Act may be called the Jharkhand Salaries and Allowances of Ministers (Amendment) Act, 2005. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on and from 1st day of April, 2005.
2. Amendment of section 3 of the Jharkhand Act 18, 2000
In section 3 of the Jharkhand Salaries and Allowances of Ministers Act, 2000 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), the following proviso shall be added at the end, namely:— "Provided that if a Minister is provided with a house owned by the Government, he shall not be entitled to any house rent allowance."
3. Amendment of section 7 of the Jharkhand Act 18, 2000
For clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 7 of the principal Act, the following clause shall be substituted, namely:— "(a) the Minister shall be entitled to traveling allowance for himself and his family for journeys performed by air, rail, road or steamer, as he deems fit, for official or personal purpose within or outside the State of Jharkhand, subject to a maximum of Rs. 1,00,000/- (one lakh) per annum."
