Jharkhand Academic Council Act
The Jharkhand Academic Council Act, 2002
This Act establishes the Jharkhand Academic Council as an autonomous body responsible for conducting secondary, intermediate, Sanskrit, and Madarsa education examinations across the state of Jharkhand. It applies to students, teachers, administrators, high schools, intermediate colleges, Sanskrit schools, and Madarsas in the region. The Act empowers the Council to prescribe syllabi, formulate courses of study, recommend institutional recognition to the State Government, award certificates, and manage examination funds. By consolidating academic administration previously governed by multiple separate boards, it ensures standardized educational assessment, maintains academic standards, and facilitates student progression to higher education and employment opportunities.
