This Act enforces standard weights and measures in trade within Jammu and Kashmir. Controllers and Inspectors enforce it and can adjust weights and measures. Using non-standard weights and measures, or quoting in other units, is prohibited, and manufacturers, repairers and dealers must meet set obligations.
