Statutory text
Offence.--(1) No person for an offence under this Act shall be instituted except on a complaint in writing made by the Director of Agriculture in this behalf.
- (2) Notwithstanding anything contained in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1989, an offence under this Act shall not be tried by a Court with powers less than a Judicial Magistrate of the first class.
