The Jammu and Kashmir Town Area Committee Sopore (Imposition of Dharat Taxes and Fees Validation) Act, 1969

This Act may be called the Jammu and Kashmir Town Area Committee Sopore (Imposition of Dharat Taxes and Fees Validation) Act, 1969.

Notwithstanding any judgment, decree or order of any court or any defect in the procedure followed for the imposition of Dharat taxes and fees by the Town Area Committee, Sopore, all Dharat taxes and fees imposed, collected or purporting to have been imposed or collected by the said Committee at any time before the commencement of this Act shall be deemed to be, and shall always be deemed to have been, validly imposed or collected in accordance with law and no suit or other legal proceeding shall be maintained or continued in any court against the said Committee or any officer or authority of the Government on the ground that the imposition or collection of such taxes or fees was not in accordance with law.
