Ordinance
The Islamic University of Science and Technology, Kashmir Act, 2005(1) Subject to the provisions of the Act and the Statutes, the Ordinances may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely :— (a) the admission of the students, the course of study and the fees therefor, the qualifications pertaining to degrees, diplomas, certificates and other academic distinctions, the conditions, for Grant of Fellowships, Awards and the like ; (b) the conduct of examinations, including the terms of office and appointment of examiners and the conditions of residence of students and their general discipline ; (c) the management of colleges and institutions maintained by the University ; and (d) any other matter which by the Act or the Statutes is to be or may be provided by the Ordinances. (2) The first Ordinances shall be made by the Vice-Chancellor with the previous approval of the Board and the Ordinances made may be amended, repealed or added to at any time by the Executive Council in the manner prescribed by the Statutes. (1) Any member, other than an ex-officio member, of the Executive Council, the Academic Council or any other authority of the University or Committee may resign by a letter addressed to the Registrar and the resignation shall take effect as soon as letter is received by the Registrar. (2) Any officer of the University (whether salaried or otherwise) may resign his office by a letter addressed to the Registrar : Provided that such resignation shall take effect only on the date from which the same is accepted by the Authority competent to fill the vacancy.
