The Industrial Disputes (Himachal Pradesh Amendment) Act, 2020

Labour20205 sections

This Act amends the Industrial Disputes Act of 1947 specifically for the state of Himachal Pradesh. It expands the scope of services covered by adding non-public utility services to the definition. The legislation also strengthens worker protections by increasing the notice period for retrenchment from fifteen to sixty days and raising the minimum number of workmen required to form a trade union from one hundred to two hundred. Finally, it repeals a previous ordinance but ensures that any actions already taken under that ordinance remain valid.
