AMENDMENT OF THE HIMACHAL PRADESH LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY SPEAKER’S AND DEPUTY SPEAKER’S SALARIES ACT, 1971

Amendment of section 4.—In the principal Act, the provision of section 4, shall be numbered as sub-section

1. (1) and thereafter, the following sub-section shall be inserted, namely:— “(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1), the sumptuary allowance payable to a Minister under sub-section (1), shall be reduced by thirty percent. for a period of one year commencing from the 1st April, 2020, to meet the exigencies arising out of Corona Virus (COVID-19) pandemic.”.

Amendment of section 4.—In the principal Act, in section 4, the sub-section (1-AA) shall be renumbered as (1-B) and thereafter, the following sub-section shall be inserted, namely:— “(1-C) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section

1. (1) and (1-B), the salary and sumptuary allowance payable to the Deputy Speaker under sub-section
2. (1) and (1-B), shall be reduced by thirty percent. for a period of one year commencing from the 1st April, 2020, to meet the exigencies arising out of Corona Virus (COVID-19) pandemic.”.
