Himachal Pradesh Payment of Income Tax on Salaries and Allowances of Certain Categories Act, 2022
This Act amends three separate salary-related laws governing Himachal Pradesh public officials by removing specific sections. It repeals previously issued ordinance number 2 of 2022 and establishes that actions taken under the ordinance will continue to have effect as if they were taken under this Act instead. The legislation specifically eliminates Section 12 from the Salaries and Allowances of Ministers Act, 2000, Section 11-A from the Legislative Assembly Speaker's Salaries Act, 1971, and Section 6-AA from the Legislative Assembly Allowances and Pension Act, 1971. It officially came into force on April 1, 2022, rendering the ordinance obsolete while preserving its previously implemented administrative measures.
