The Himachal Pradesh Medicare Service Persons and Medicare Service Institutions (Prevention of Violence and Damage to Property) Amendment Act, 2017

This Act may be called the Himachal Pradesh Medicare Service Persons and Medicare Service Institutions (Prevention of Violence and Damage to Property) Amendment Act, 2017.

In section 3 of the Himachal Pradesh Medicare Service Persons and Medicare Service Institutions (Prevention of Violence and Damage to Property) Act, 2009 (hereinafter referred to as the “principal Act”), in sub-section (1), for the words “one year”, the words “three years” shall be substituted. For section 4 of the principal Act, the following section shall be substituted, namely :—

“4. Cognizance of offence.— (1) Any offence committed under this Act shall be cognizable and non-bailable.

(2) No court shall take cognizance of an offence punishable under this Act except upon a complaint in writing made by the officer authorized by the Government, by notification, in this behalf.”.
