Punishment for destruction of fish by poisoning water

If any person puts any poison, 3 [bleaching powder] lime or noxious material in to any water with intent thereby to catch or destroy any fish, he shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 4 [three years, or with fine, which may extend to five thousand] rupees, or with both.
