An Act to regulate the supply of porters to the climbing/trekking parties visiting Himachal Pradesh. BE it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh in the

Twenty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

1. Short title, extent and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Himachal Pradesh Climbing/Trekking Porters (Regulation of Employment) Act, 1977.

1. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Himachal Pradesh.
2. (3) It shall come into force with effect from such date as the State Government may, by notification1 in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of the Act and for different areas of the State.
