This Act cleans up legal technicalities regarding alcohol license orders in Haryana. The Haryana government had issued important administrative orders under the wrong section (Section 59) of the Punjab Excise Act instead of the correct one (Section 58) in 2017. To prevent valid business decisions from collapsing due to this mistake, this law retrospectively tells the government that those specific orders are legal and valid for all purposes, ensuring no one suffers because of a paperwork error (Section 2).

  1. 1. Short title
  2. 2. This Act may be called the Punjab Excise (Haryana Validation) Act, 2019.
