1. Short title and commencement

1. (1) This Act may be called the Haryana Prisons (Haryana Amendment) Act, 2014. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from the 1st day of January, 2013.

2. Amendment of section 2 of Central Act 9 of 1894

2. In section 2 of the Prisons Act, 1894 (Central Act 9 of 1894), in its application to the State of Haryana (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in clause (1), for the word "fifty", the words "two hundred" shall be substituted.

3. Amendment of section 3 of Central Act 9 of 1894
