In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context. (a)“Deputy Speaker” means the Deputy Speaker of the Haryana Legislative Assembly. (b)“Government” means the Government of the State of Haryana. (c)“maintenance” in relation to a residence shall include the payment of local rates and taxes, and charges for electricity and water; (d)“prescribed” means prescribed by rules made under this Act; (e)“residence” includes the staff quarters and other buildings appurtenant Thereto, and the garden thereof; and (f)“Speaker” means the Speaker of the Haryana Legislative Assembly.
