Notwithstandins anything contained- in thc Punjab District Validation or Board Act, 1853 orgny judgment, decree or order of a Civil Court, the "Profession tax imposed by the Distric~ Roard. Ambala, the imposition of which Tw"imp'scd by the Districl was notified in the Punjab Government notification No. 2501-LB-531 23549, dated the 161h April, 1953, shall bc decmcd to have been legally imposed with effccr from the 15th May, 1453, and shall remain in forcc unti [ repealcd or amended by a cornpeten t aulhori ty.
