This Act governs the Class I Service of Engineers in the Haryana Public Works Department's Buildings and Roads, Public Health and Irrigation Branches. It covers the strength of the service, eligibility by nationality and domicile, recruitment, qualifications, age, promotion, transfer, probation, seniority and pay. It also sets out departmental examinations, discipline and appeals, the oath of allegiance and liability to serve.
- 1. Short title, commencement and application
- 2. Extent of Act (3) It shall apply to the persons, who are members of the Service, but shall not include the persons who were appointed before the 1st day of November, 1966.
