Powers and functions of District Nodal Agency

The District Nodal Agency shall have the following powers and shall perform the following functions, namely: -

1. (a) to examine and process the declaration of intent, irrespective of the investment;
2. (b) to issue the certificate of in-principle approval within the stipulated period;
3. (c) to maintain record of declaration of intent, certificate of in-principle approval and deemed approval issued to the eligible enterprise;
4. (d) to ensure time bound redressal of grievances;
5. (e) to coordinate and liaise with the State Nodal Agency and the competent authority for effective implementation of the provisions of this Act;
6. (f) to suo motu monitor eligible enterprise who has been granted certificate of in-principle approval and take appropriate action in accordance with the provisions of this Act;
7. (g) any other powers and functions as assigned to it by the Government.
