Short title.

Amendment of section 11 of Haryana Act 11 of 1994 For sub-section (7A) of section 11 of the Haryana Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, the following sub-section shall be substituted, namely: - “(7A) For any general meeting of the Gram Sabha, one-tenth of the members of Gram Sabha or three hundred members, whichever is less, shall form a quorum: Provided that to consider and approve the identified eligible beneficiaries of any Government Scheme or to prepare a Gram Panchayat Development Plan, twenty percent of the members of Gram Sabha shall form the quorum. If at the time fixed for the meeting, there is no quorum, the Sarpanch shall wait for one hour and if within such period of one hour there is no quorum, the Sarpanch shall adjourn the meeting to such time on the following day or such day, as he may decide. The business only, which was to be brought before the scheduled meeting shall be brought and transacted in the adjourned meeting and fifteen percent of the members of Gram Sabha shall form the quorum of such meeting. In case there is no quorum of fifteen percent of the members of Gram Sabha in the adjourned meeting then in the next meeting, the number of members of the Gram Sabha mentioned below shall form the quorum, namely:-

1. (a) five hundred members, where the total number of members of the Gram Sabha is ten thousand or more;
2. (b) four hundred members, where the total number of members of the Gram Sabha is more than five thousand but less than ten thousand; and
3. (c) three hundred members, where the total number of members of the Gram Sabha is five thousand or less.”. Amendment of section 11 of Haryana Act 11 of 1994.
