He shall work directly under the superintendence, direction and control of the Vice-Chancellor.

Appointment of first Vice-Chancellor and first Registrar Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, the first Vice-Chancellor and the first Registrar shall be appointed by the Chancellor on the advice of the Government for such period not exceeding three years, as deemed appropriate by the Government.
