The Haryana and Punjab Agricultural Universities (Haryana Amendment) Act, 1991

This Act makes minor changes to the Haryana and Punjab Agricultural Universities Act, 1970. It replaces “the Haryana Agricultural University” with “Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University” throughout the Act so the university’s official name is correctly recorded. It also amends Section 13 of the original Act by changing a period to a semicolon and adding a new clause that requires one nominee of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research on the university’s governing body. These changes update the university’s name and expand its governance structure, improving its administration and recognition.
