The Gujarat University (Extension of Term of Executive Council) Act, 1986

Short title.—(1) This Act may be called the Gujarat University (Extension of Term of Executive Council) Act, 1986.

Extension of term of office of members of Executive Council of Gujarat University.—Notwithstanding anything contained in the Gujarat University Act, 1949 (Bom. L of 1949) or in any statutes or ordinances made thereunder, the term of office of the members of the Executive Council of the Gujarat University, holding office as such members immediately before the commencement of this Act, shall stand extended, and shall be deemed always to have been extended, up to and inclusive of the 31st day of December, 1986.
