Fee Regulatory Committee

Statutory text
  1. (1) The State Government shall, for the purpose of determination of the fee structure, constitute a Fee Regulatory Committee.
  2. (2) The Committee shall consist of the following members, namely:—
    • (a) a retired Judge of the High Court, who shall be the Chairperson;
    • (b) one member who is an expert in the field of accounting;
    • (c) one member who is an expert in the field of technical education;
    • (d) one member who is an expert in the field of management or finance;
    • (e) one member, not below the rank of Deputy Secretary, to be nominated by the State Government, who shall be the Member Secretary.
  3. (3) The term of the office of the members of the Committee shall be such as may be prescribed.
  4. (4) The Committee shall regulate its own procedure for the conduct of its business.
  5. (5) The Committee may appoint such number of officers and employees as may be necessary to assist the Committee in the discharge of its functions under this Act.
  6. (6) The expenses of the committee shall be borne by the State Government.
