The Dangs (Validation of Civil and Criminal Jurisdiction) Act, 1961

This Act validates the civil and criminal jurisdiction exercised over the Dangs district from 31 July 1949 to 30 April 1960 by the courts at Surat, including the District Court and the Sessions Court. Judgments, orders and proceedings of those courts for the Dangs during that period are treated as valid, even though their jurisdiction over the area had been in doubt.
