The Bombay District Municipal (Saurashtra Area) and Bombay Municipal Boroughs (Saurashtra and Kutch Areas) (Gujarat Amendment) Act, 1961

Short title and commencement.—

1. (1) This Act may be called the Bombay District Municipal (Saurashtra Area) and Bombay Municipal Boroughs (Saurashtra and Kutch Areas) (Gujarat Amendment) Act, 1961.
2. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.

Amendment of section 46 of Bom. III of 1901.— In section 46 of the Bombay District Municipal Act, 1901, in its application to the Saurashtra area of the State of Gujarat, in sub-section (1), for the words "one hundred rupees" the words "five hundred rupees" shall be substituted.

-1 3. Amendment of section 46 of Bom. XVIII of 1925.—In section 46 of the Bombay Municipal Boroughs Act, 1925, in its application to the Saurashtra and Kutch areas of the State of Gujarat, for the words "one hundred rupees" the words "five hundred rupees" shall be substituted.
