Short title. —

(1) This Act may be called the Bombay District Municipal and Municipal Boroughs Acts (Gujarat Amendment) Act, 1961.

2. Amendment of section 3 of Bom. III of 1901

Amendment of section 3 of Bom. III of 1901. — In section 3 of the Bombay District Municipal Act, 1901 (Bom.

3. III of 1901), in its application to the Saurashtra area of the State of Gujarat, in clause (7), for the words "two thousand" the words "ten thousand" shall be substituted.

XVIII of 1925), in clause (17), for the words "the State Government" the words "the State Government or the Director of Municipalities" shall be substituted.
