Regulations and rules

40. (1) The Academic Council, or as the case may be, the Faculty, may, subject to the approval of the Academic Council, make regulations, consistent with this Act, the Statutes and the Ordinances providing for all matters which by this Act, the Statutes or the Ordinances are to be provided for by regulations and for all other matters solely concerning itself. (2) Any authority of the University specified in clauses (iv) to (viii) of Section 21 may, subject to the approval of the Executive Council, make rules, consistent with this Act, the Statutes, Ordinances and regulations providing for all matters solely concerning such authority.
