Power to exempt

Power to exempt.

1. (1) The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, exempt the entry of specified goods into a local area from the payment of tax for such period and subject to such terms and conditions as may be specified in the notification.
2. (2) The State Government may, by like notification, cancel any such exemption or vary the rate of tax or the terms and conditions and such notification may be issued so as to have retrospective effect.
