Amendments to the Gujarat University Act, 1949, the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda Act, 1949 and the Sardar Vallabhbhai Vidyapeeth Act, 1955

In section 4, in clause (17), for the words "of the University", the words "of the University and to raise loans upon the security of the assets of the University after obtaining previous permission of the State Government;" shall be substituted. 2 The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda Act, 1949 (Bom. XVII of 1949). (1) In section 3, in sub-section (8), for the words "of the University", the words "of the University and to raise loans upon the security of its assets" shall be substituted, and to sub-section (8) as so amended, the following proviso shall be added, namely:- " Provided that the power to raise loans upon the security of its assets shall be exercised after obtaining previous permission of the State Government;". (2) In section 24, in sub-section (1), after clause (xii), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:- "(xiii) to raise loans upon the security of the assets of the University after obtaining previous permission of the State Government;". 3 The Sardar Vallabhbhai Vidyapeeth Act, 1955 (Bom. XL of 1955). (1) In section 3, (i) in sub-section (2), for the words "of the University" the words "of the University, to raise loans upon the security of its assets" shall be substituted; and (ii) to sub-section (2), the following proviso shall be added, namely:- " Provided that the power to raise loans upon the security of its assets shall be exercised after obtaining previous permission of the State Government". (2) In section 23, in sub-section (1), after clause (kc), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:- "(kd) to raise loans upon the security of the assets of the University after obtaining previous permission of the State Government;"
