This Act sets up the Gujarat State School Service Commission to select teachers for registered private secondary and higher secondary schools. No such school can appoint a teacher except on the Commission's recommendation. It sets out the Commission's composition, disqualifications, staff and functions, protects teachers, and lets the Commission call for records.
