Repealing Act, Gujarat Year 2000

This law officially cancels a long list of older state laws, including many acts that abolished specific types of land ownership and tenures, such as the Bombay Bhagdari Tenures Abolition Act, as well as other miscellaneous laws from the 19th and 20th centuries. While these laws are removed from the books, the Act ensures that land revenue payments and existing tenancy restrictions remain valid, effectively streamlining the legal system by removing obsolete rules while preserving important property rights.
